Frank R. Schatzle, 76, of Winona Lakes, Middle Smithfield Township, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009 at Easton Hospital, Easton. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Waugh) Schatzle with whom he celebrated his 54th wedding anniversary in October. Born on January 17, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late William F. and Viola (Wolf) Schatzle.
He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army.
Frank was a printer for 35 years with the NY financial printing company of Chas. P. Young. He also worked at Bushkill Falls for a few seasons.
He was the devoted father to Robert F. and his wife Victoria of Bushkill, Kevin P. and his wife Dana of East Windsor, NJ and Thomas W. and his wife Lisa of Olathe, KS. The joys of his life are his four grandchildren, Erin, Christopher, Michael and Amanda Schatzle all of Bushkill.
He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
There will be viewing hours on Thursday, November 5, from 3:00 to 5:00PM and 7:00 to 8:30PM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00AM Friday, November 6, at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, Brodhead Ave. & Ridgeway St., East Stroudsburg with Father Arul as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Charles' Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
