Herman-Kinn Funeral Homes remains independent and locally owned, just as it has been for over a century. Owners/directors Mark A. Herman and Jason N. Herman-Kinn offers a wide variety of personalized and very affordable options for honoring the life of the deceased and the heritage of their family, including traditional and non-traditional funerals, cremations, memorial services, and much more. Unsurpassed aftercare and advanced planning programs are administered by our specialist and Certified Senior Advisor Lana Fargo. She also oversees our "Heroes Program" which incorporates special amenities for people who have served in the U.S. Military, or who served our local communities in either law enforcement or fire protection.
The Fremont home was recently expanded by the addition of a stately new main chapel. Also added were a custom-designed handicap accessible entrance, sparkling-new larger restrooms and beautiful classic furnishings throughout the home. We are certain that these improvements will help to ensure the safety and comfort of our families and their guests.
A special feature found at the Fremont facility is a Grief Library which contains recommended resources for managing a variety of grief experiences, such as teen suicide, miscarriage or losing a loved one. It also has several videos for children about death and dying and other topics. All of these resources may be borrowed and taken home or may be read at the facility.
