Soldier Down -- 9:00 a.m.
Proceeds from this all day event provide comfort and relief items for military members who become sick, injured, or wounded from service in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. Personnel who are evacuated to the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) in Germany (the largest American military hospital outside the U.S.) and to field hospitals in Afghanistan and Iraq, typically come into the hospital wearing what they were wounded in. They then only have a hospital gown to wear for what is, for many, a stay of months. Admission to this all-day event includes poker run, live music, bike show, vendors, demonstrations and displays. Food, drink, coffee and BEER are available for purchase at very reasonable cost (hey, its a party!) Come prepared to have fun and support a really great cause. Cost $10. Starts at the Arizona Veterans Memorial 9-11 am. Opening Ceremonies at McCaa's Motorcycle Enterprises in Fort Mohave, Arizona at 12 noon. (This event supports the Landstuhl Hospital Care Project organization, a non-profit 501(3)(c) entity)
